Tano Bistro & Catering holds a special place in our hearts here at The Marmalade Lily: not only are the they first to ever cater a wedding here, but that first wedding just so happened to be mine back in 2015! If you haven’t noticed, Tano Bistro is truly the darling of the Loveland community. Tano and his wife Gina are the sweetest people you’ll meet, and their team is truly outstanding and a pleasure to work with always. And can we mention the food? :) Speaking from my own experience and that of so many Lily Brides over the years, you can truly tell Samantha loves getting to know the brides and grooms and creating the perfect wedding day menu bespoke to you!
Today, Samantha and Cara are sharing their knowledge and wisdom with you so you can truly enjoy the food on your wedding day. This streamlined, succinct synopsis they have provided along with resources and photos is so amazing I cannot even begin to tell you. I did not even know where to begin when my husband and I were thinking about what we envisioned for the dinner at our wedding. Samantha and the team did a fabulous job then and has shared their insights with us here today!
Love Your Food on Your Wedding Day
Your date is set, the venue is put together and the gorgeous decorations will be set up to elevate the beauty of your special day. What else could you possibly need?
With so many options now available to create a wedding day feast, Tano Catering offers their tips on how to LOVE your food on your wedding day.
A lot is riding on your decision of which caterer to hire, and if you think this decision really isn’t important, look at it this way…amazing food from a quality caterer can rescue an event, but lesser quality can send guest away with a “bad taste”.
Be sure to brief your caterer on the theme and overall feeling of your wedding, as it can influence the menu and how it’s served.
Create memories around the taste and beauty of your wedding day. The conscious preparation of your menu has the potential to awaken the most basic memories and desires. Think about Grandmas cookies after school and how that made a bad day a little brighter.
It’s not always about standing in line…
Choose food that represents you as a couple and not what you feel must be served.
There are many wonderful options we can provide. Outside of the traditional buffet dinner, we are seeing trends with savory stations and family style service. Late night snacks are also a must!
Looking for a more farm to fork experience? At Tanos Catering we believe in making wholesome food naturally and responsibly simple. For a decade we have been on a whole-hearted quest to find the regions most dedicated, like-minded, and genuine farmers, growers, butchers and bakers to bring us the best our earth and animals can provide in the most natural and friendly way.
Beyond the love of the food
Your caterer SHOULD create a relationship beyond what will be on your guests’ plates. Listening to your dreams, creating a tasting just for you and having a helping hand to lead your next steps. A lot of times Bride’s don’t know where to start or where to go. Ask your caterer! We will be able to recommend next steps and vendors for those steps.
Haven’t heard of Tano Catering? That’s OK. We are intentional with our food and choose to do quality over quantity when it comes to our events. We want to be a meaningful part of your day, not another check off the list.
