Elise and Kevin recently created new lounge area packages to make it easier, quicker, and less stressful for busy couples to choose a lounge that works for their event and fits their budget. When coming up with what items to include in the packages, they kept in mind aesthetics, practicality, and maximizing the amount of seating with a price that won’t break the budget. Now there is no more guessing at what types of furniture should be included in your lounge. All you have to do is choose your favorite pieces and contact us to make it happen! You can browse their packages HERE.

3 Reasons You Need a Lounge Area at Your Wedding Reception

After you’ve officially tied the knot, it’s time to celebrate! You want to create a memorable, stylish, and entertaining reception for your friends and family to join you in celebrating your love. Reception décor ties together your wedding aesthetic or theme, draws attention to the special elements of your venue, and keeps your guests entertained and comfortable. What’s a simple way to make your décor cohesive, fun, and relaxing? Incorporating a lounge area or two into your décor!

Collective Charm has a curated collection of plush vintage sofas and settees, luxe velvet vintage armchairs, chic accent and coffee tables, and colorful vintage rugs to choose from, allowing you to create a lounge area that is totally unique to you and your special day!

Whether your style for your wedding is vintage, bohemian, rustic, or glam, an eclectic collection of beautiful furniture can elevate your theme and provide cohesion in your design. Fabrics are a simple way to enrich your design by adding texture, color, and dimension. Easily add color and texture to your reception design by choosing a richly colored velvet sofa in your color palette. Want to enhance a bohemian design? Add some rattan chairs for that laid-back, nature-inspired vibe. Don’t forget to add something living, such as a pretty floral arrangement to the coffee table to bring life and vibrancy to your seating area.

Placing a grouping of furniture atop a gorgeous vintage rug or hanging a vintage crystal chandelier from a tree over your seating area also helps define the lounge area. This is especially helpful in a large “blank slate” venue such as a loft, where creating lounge areas provides intimacy, softens industrial spaces and fills space in a large empty venue. Or, if your venue already has an impressive architectural feature or lovely outdoor grounds, use these areas as a beautiful and creative backdrop for your lounge (perfect for bridal party photos!). Think of a lounge area as a station, just like your dessert display or welcome table. Each of these areas define your venue space and create entertainment for your guests.

Many of your guests will be showing off their impressive moves on the dance floor and would appreciate a comfortable and welcoming spot to rest their dancing feet. Others would prefer a place to sit and chat while sipping a cocktail or enjoying a late-night bite. A lounge area encourages mingling and conversation among guests while they relax and take a break from the action. Incorporating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere with a lounge area also keeps your guests hanging out at your reception longer.

In addition to relaxation, a lounge space can be entertaining. Place a polaroid camera and some fun vintage props on a side table for guests to snap some creative selfies on one of our unique sofas. Instead of side table, place a fun vintage bar cart next to an armchair for cocktails (served in colorful vintage goblets, of course!). Or, have a deck of cards or a board game for guests to play while they listen to the DJ and sip their drinks.

We are Kevin and Elise Siegel, a husband and wife team who are excited to serve southwest Ohio and surrounding areas. We both grew up with families that had a love for antiques and history. This influenced our decision to have our wedding at an historic home and created our desire for timeless and well-made items to furnish our first home seven years ago.We began Collective Charm with the purpose of providing others with the vintage charm, character, and detailed beauty that makes an event unforgettable. We feel so lucky to be able to work together in our little business and to be doing what we both love.

Elise is the one who answers your inquiries, creates event designs along with the bride and/or her planner or family, and hunts for vintage and eclectic treasures to add to the collection. She loves all things wedding and design, rescuing and restoring vintage and antique pieces, and meeting the new couples and their families that she gets to help with making the vision for their dream event come to life.

Kevin is the one who handles logistics, deliveries, and keeps our new showroom looking great.
